Overview

Working within a team environment the employee will coordinate the marketing of products sold, and services offered through Aggie Print and Mail, a service auxiliary of Utah State University. Activities include; Customer service (inside and outside sales), marketing strategies, University visual identity knowledge, various accounting duties (invoicing, filing, etc.) and miscellaneous tasks associated with Aggie Print and Mail.

 

Hours: Monday-Friday 8am – 5pm, flexibility needed to meet time sensitive deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day marketing and sales operations associated with Aggie Print and Mail.
  • Coordinate incoming project requests from beginning to completion.
  • Work with and train part-time employees assigned to help with customer service.
  • Train, and work with AP&M employees to insure the proper use of University logos.
  • Work with CLC – Brand Manager for all promotional printing to meet guidelines.
  • Working with UMAC, develop an understanding and working knowledge of the University Identity program
  • Enter work orders into MIS software.
  • Customer Service; some hours will be spent inside Aggie Print and Mail working with customers, invoicing, covering front office, etc. some hours will be spent on campus visiting departments representing AP&M.
  • Oversee estimating, job cost analysis, and billing within MIS.
  • Working with vendors to stay informed of new materials, process and products.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends for new production methods.
  • Participates in training, work allocation, quality assurance, and inventory control.
  • Works with Director to ensure that customer needs are being met and works to continuously improve the process.
  • Performs labor and maintenance duties as a working member of the departments.
  • Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned throughout operations at Aggie Print and Mail.
  • Participates in discussions concerning new equipment for various production areas.
  • Keeps current on all software updates and knowledge of all equipment capabilities.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Four years of experience; or an associate degree plus two years of experience; or a bachelor’s degree is required.

  • Positive Attitude.
  • Enjoys working with people.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of print production, paper and equipment.
  • knowledge of Adobe, Microsoft and other print production software.
  • Must be able to plan and direct small operations.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers, management and customers.
  • Must be able to provide quality customer service.
  • Ability to work with staff, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
  • Willing to learn.
  • Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of proper safety guidelines, policies, procedures, and behaviors as established by OSHA USU, and Aggie Print and Mail.
  • Positive attitude, willing to learn new things, willing to manage and be managed.
