Counseling and Prevention Services (CAPS) provides mental health and wellness services to over 1,400 students each year, and offers professional training to nine doctoral and nine undergraduate students. In collaboration with the Office Manager, this position of Staff Assistant II will play an essential role in daily operations of the center by assisting students seeking mental health services and providing administrative support to professional therapist and trainees. This position will be a valued member of a team that values belonging, work-life balance, and collegiality. The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, detail-orientated, proactive, and possesses excellent interpersonal skills. This position is NOT eligible for remote work.

Counseling and Prevention Services (CAPS) is part of USU's Division of Student Affairs. We serve students in all USU locations, and our clinicians are housed on multiple sites, with the main office located on Logan campus. CAPS has been accredited by the International Accreditation of Counseling Services (IACS) since 1996. Our mid-size team is composed of professionals from psychology and social work, and we have robust training programs, including a doctoral internship accredited by the American Psychological Association and practicums in doctoral combined clinical and counseling psychology.
CAPS offers a range of services, including individual and group therapy, assessment, crisis appointments, case management, and wellness promotion.
