Overview

The Catering Operations Supervisor (Coordinator Service SR) supports management and staff to create efficient and seamless catering events, ensuring processes for cleanliness, organization and service styles are being met. Is knowledgeable about Presidential event protocol and the President’s institutional home. Maintains good relationships with the departments and the campus community. Promote and exemplify Dining Services’ Mission of “Creating an Excellent College Experience” including our P.R.E.D.I.C.T. core values, as well as University Catering and Event Services mission of Exceeding Expectations, Every Event, Every Time.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures that all University Catering and Out Catering events are executed within process and policies while Exceeding Expectations of our guests. Providing feedback for continuous improvement to the management team.
  • Training: Assists in conducting onboarding and training of catering server and all further training of other hourly catering position.
  • Cleaning and Organization: Daily and project-oriented cleaning and organization in and around the kitchen, west stadium center and storage areas.
  • Order and maintain stock of Coca Cola products at TSC and West Stadium Center. Maintain the fridges and make sure stock of cans are rotated properly to ensure dates are current. Coordinate with Coca Cola on all maintenance and repair needs.
  • Order and maintain stock of coffee. Coordinate with Café Ibis on all maintenance and repair needs.
  • Ensure vehicles are maintained and in working order. Report any problems or concerns to operations manager. Maintain adequate fuel levels in all vehicles.
  • Work with Event Services to maintain the center piece closet and ensure it is stock and organized.
  • Assists in Maintaining schedule and help to adjust to make changes to the schedule as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Six years of experience; or an associate degree plus four years of experience; or a bachelor’s degree plus two years of experience is required.
  • Familiarity with Office Products and ability to utilize Outlook

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficient Computer Skills (MS Office)
  • Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory control.
  • Ability to train and supervise employees.
  • Ability to coordinate and organize schedules.
  • Ability to deliver excellent customer service and satisfaction.
  • Ability to foster team work.
