Overview

The Quinney College of Natural Resources at USU invites you to join our communications team (Public Relations Specialist II). We are seeking an experienced candidate with strong writing and organizations skills to coordinate internal communication and recruiting efforts. Occasional remote work may be considered, but the bulk of tasks must be completed in-office. A less-than-full-time position may be considered depending on preference.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include managing the college website and weekly newsletter, creating digital and printed products to support brand and student recruitment goals, building our community through networking efforts and facilitating publication design and writing projects.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, advertising, communication, or related field plus two years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Four years post-graduation work experience in a related field.
  • Strong experience with management of website template systems, such as Modern Campus CMS.
  • Ability to compose and edit high-quality written materials in journalistic style.
  • Knowledge of design principles and publishing standards/procedures.
  • Skills in photography, videography and photo/video editing.
  • Ability to formulate and implement marketing strategies.
  • Ability to move multiple tasks from concept to completion within a deadline.
  • Experience managing social media accounts.
  • Ability to work will with diverse people and organizations.
  • Knowledge of university institutional policies and procedures.
  • Experience planning and supporting special events.

Advertised Salary
