Overview

The successful applicant will participate in and assist with all areas and functions of the Accounts Payable Office.

Responsibilities

• Process payments in the e-procurement system USU EZ-BUY
• Will be responsible for sorting, sealing, and mailing university checks. This may include delivering items to the Cashier’s Office or to other offices on campus as needed
• Includes any other accounts payable related tasks assigned by supervisor
• Answer multiple telephone lines in a professional manner
• Assist students and campus personnel at front counter

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Two years of relevant experience or an associate’s degree
  • Must have experience in working in multiple computer programs simultaneously including Windows, Excel, and web browsers
  • Finalist may be required to perform a ten-key and/or keyboarding test at the time of the employment interview

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of USU's Banner Finance System
  • Bookkeeping/accounting related work experience or Associate's degree or certification in a business/related field
  • Knowledge of University Travel Policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of Accounts Payable procedures

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must be able to communicate in a professional manner both verbally and in written form
  • Must be able to handle confidential information
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn and acquire new skills
  • Accurate ten-key and keyboarding required
