Responsibilities

The Warehouse Shift Lead is responsible for overseeing the AM Delivery process to ensure all Bakery, Commissary & Warehouse items are delivered to cafes and other retail operations, accurately as well as on time. They would be supervising a crew of up to seven individuals. Additional responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

  • Entering all vendor invoices.
  • Ensuring accurate fulfillment of all warehouse orders.
  • Placing vendor orders for restocking the warehouse.
  • Various inventory related tasks.
  • Assist with the logistics involved in ensuring our Self Service Kiosk program locations are stocked, and maintained properly. Place all daily orders for restocking Clutch Grab & Go items.
  • Involvement in hiring and ensuring all On Boarding training assigned, and completed by new hires. Ensuring all new hires receive access to employee related training and reward programs.
  • Semester evaluations for all part time hourly direct reports.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to obtain a Food Handlers Permit if hired
  • Valid Utah driver’s license to perform essential job responsibilities, such as driving university vehicles and transporting materials

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Expereince with driving Box Delivery Trucks

The position requires considerable physical activity. Employees must have sufficient strength to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position including heavy lifting (50 pounds) and/or pushing and pulling of heavy objects. Employees must be prepared to assume uncomfortable positions such as crawling, kneeling, and squatting. Additionally, the work environment can include confined or narrow spaces. Employees must adhere to safety precautions and may be required to use protective equipment. Employees work outside for part of each day's shift and will not be protected from weather conditions, including extreme cold and extreme heat repeatedly for short periods.

 

The Shift Lead Warehouse position requires the ability to perform the following things on a repetitive basis:

  • Bending
  • Lifting (over 50 pounds)
  • Kneeling
  • Crouching
  • Standing for long periods of time
  • Reaching over head
  • Repetitive hand, elbow, shoulder, back etc. motion
