The Human Research Protections (HRP) Assistants are integral to the smooth functioning of Utah State University’s Human Research Protection Program (HRPP). This office is responsible for ensuring that all research conducted by Utah State University faculty, staff, and students which involves human subjects is conducted ethically, in line with legal requirements, and with strong protections in place for research participants. This is done by having all research with human participants submitted for review in line with the Belmont Report principles of Justice, Beneficence, and Respect for Persons. The HRP Office seeks a detail-oriented, organized, and energetic candidate to support its office manager and other staff, and many of the office’s routine tasks.
This is a part-time, non-benefited hourly wage position, with a strong preference for students who qualify for Work Study. The successful candidate must be available during the hours of 11:00 to 1:30 on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the Fall 2025 semester. The Office of Research provides research administration services year-round, and as such, seeks candidates who can commit to working during the entirety of the calendar year, as opposed to solely the academic year. This position is not telework eligible.

Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes.
