  • Prepare deliverables in appropriate formats and dimensions for social media, websites, digital signage, and other marketing platforms.
  • Follow team guidelines and brand standards to ensure media aligns with ArtSci’s visual identity.
  • Support the Marcom Media Designer in developing larger-scale or more complex media projects.
  • Organize and manage media files to support team access, usage, and archiving.
  • May be tasked with additional multimedia support such as podcast/audio recording/editing, livestream setup, or related technical assistance.

20% Content Coordination & Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Social Media Specialist, marcom interns, and other team members to deliver timely media content for campaigns and events.
  • Coordinate with the Communications Manager and Marcom Media Designer to understand project goals, timelines, and creative direction.
  • Respond to content needs or requests from the team, and communicate progress and completion status clearly.
  • Contribute ideas for new content opportunities, including recurring media series or story-driven projects that align with ArtSci’s strategy.
  • Support integrated projects by ensuring media content complements written, visual, and strategic campaign components.

15% Writing, Editing, & Adaptation

  • Draft or edit basic written content to accompany media projects, such as social media captions, video descriptions, or short scripts.
  • Collaborate with the Communications Manager to ensure copy is clear, engaging, and aligned with ArtSci’s voice and messaging.
  • Adapt written content to fit platform-specific needs, visual storytelling formats, or accessibility standards (e.g., captions or transcripts).
  • Assist with light proofreading or revision of content tied to media projects or campaign deliverables as needed.

10% Training, Development, & Process Alignment

  • Complete the ArtSci media boot camp prior to or at the start of employment to establish foundational production and brand knowledge.
  • Participate in ongoing training sessions provided by the Communications Manager, Marcom Media Designer, and other team leaders.
  • Learn and follow ArtSci marcom processes, timelines, and naming/file organization standards for project coordination.
  • Seek out opportunities to build new skills in media production, writing, and campaign support to grow within the role.
  • Stay informed on media trends, tools, and best practices that could enhance ArtSci’s storytelling and outreach.
