Overview

Utah State University’s University Marketing and Communications (UMAC) team is seeking a Marketing Technology & Analytics Coordinator to support marketing operations and analytics across digital and technology platforms. This part-time position plays a key role in helping the university implement, track, and optimize paid advertising and marketing automation through platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Google Ads, and Tableau.

 

The successful candidate will support email and SMS marketing workflows, paid media campaign setup and billing, and marketing analytics efforts to advance institutional goals in enrollment and brand awareness. This position collaborates closely with the university’s marketing managers, CRM administrators, and digital analytics teams.

 

This position is telework eligible within the state of Utah. 

Responsibilities

Salesforce Marketing Cloud & Automation:

  • Build, test, and deploy email, web campaigns, and SMS communications using Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Configure audience segmentation and automated journeys.
  • Support web personalization initiatives by configuring content blocks, dynamic rules, and audience targeting to deliver customized website experiences.
  • Maintain accurate UTM tracking for performance measurement.
  • Collaborate with CRM administrators to ensure data accuracy and system integrity.

Digital Advertising Support:

  • Launch and monitor paid campaigns in platforms in Google Ads.
  • Coordinate ad specifications, building and preparing custom audience lists, and creative asset needs with internal stakeholders.
  • Set bid strategies and campaign goals aligned with budget and performance targets.
  • Collaborate on keyword list forecasting and generation, analyzing competitors and gaps, strategizing on trends, and ad creation to ensure alignment with campaign goals and search strategy.
  • Manage billing and reporting of multi-department campaigns.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Analyze campaign performance using Google Analytics, Looker Studio, and Tableau.
  • Create dashboards and reports to communicate campaign effectiveness.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to internal marketing and strategic enrollment management teams.
  • Maintain organized documentation of campaign performance and benchmarks.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Two years of experience in marketing, advertising, or communications
  • Experience with digital ad platforms such as Google Ads.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or another email automation platform
  • Proficiency in analyzing campaign performance metrics
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Experience working with UTMs and tracking infrastructure

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience in higher education or a mission-driven organization
  • Proficiency with Tableau or other data visualization tools
  • Familiarity with Looker Studio, and Google Analytics
  • Basic understanding of HTML, JavaScript, or marketing tag management
  • Knowledge of AI or emerging digital marketing technologies
