Overview

Utah State University Monticello is seeking motivated, dependable individuals to join our team as Classroom Facilitators. In this role, you’ll support faculty, staff, students, and community members while ensuring a welcoming and effective learning environment. Facilitators work closely with Interactive Video Broadcast (IVB) and Zoom technology to support classroom instruction.

 

This part-time position is based on the Monticello, Utah campus. Typical duties include greeting students and community members, assisting with classroom technology, and preparing learning spaces for daily use.

 

Work schedules average 19–25 hours per week and may vary each semester. This role is an excellent opportunity for students, offering a flexible schedule that can adapt to academic commitments.

Responsibilities

  • Operate classroom equipment to support Zoom and in-person instruction.
  • Assist with special events as needed.
  • Distribute and collect classroom materials, proctor exams and quizzes, and maintain a clean, quiet, and organized learning environment.
  • Basic troubleshooting of Audio-Visual Systems, Televisions, Microphones, and Computers.
  • Communicate effectively with statewide campuses and local staff using the Slack Messaging Platform and Outlook Email Systems.
  • Serve as a liaison between students, instructors, and administrators.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Represent USU at community events as assigned.
  • Assist in planning and executing engagement events at center.

Qualifications

  • Experience operating and troubleshooting Zoom Workspace and related classroom technology.
  • Basic proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Willingness to learn new technology skills.
  • Strong reliability, integrity, and adherence to FERPA regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills in person, by phone, and through Zoom.
