This full-time, non-exempt position of Technical Coordinator Senior is dedicated to maintaining, troubleshooting, installing, and evaluating classroom technology. The position will be housed in the Classroom Technology and AV on the Utah State University Logan Campus. This position will report to the Classroom Technology supervisor. Work hours are from 10-7, and there may be some additional evenings and weekend hours when needed to meet the position's responsibilities.
Classroom Support (45%): Troubleshoot issues that are brought to the attention of the CIDI Support team. Assure high-quality customer service and prompt response to USU staff, administrators, faculty members, students, HELP Desk with classroom technology support.
Classroom Maintenance (35%): Repair and replace equipment, as necessary. Responsible for maintaining classroom technology equipment on the Logan campus. Working with classroom student employees to perform routine preventative maintenance and repair tasks of classroom technologies.
Phone Support (10%): Overflow
Classroom Technology Design and Evaluation (5%): Using the latest best practices, market research, and USU standards design technology-enhanced classrooms. Evaluate the effectiveness of the classroom technology in the teaching and learning environment. Contributes advanced knowledge as part of the statewide tech team to develop and follow the USU classroom technology standards.

Employees work indoors, except when transitioning between buildings, and are generally protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes. Employees are frequently required to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, use hands and fingers, and reach with hands and arms. Employees must be able to lift and move up to 80 pounds, work from ladders or elevated surfaces, and retrieve and transport audiovisual equipment.
The USU classroom team is a small group of dedicated individuals who assist the faculty in delivering their courses in person and over Zoom by providing them with the latest in Audio/Visual equipment, training, and support. We design, build, and maintain over 250 classrooms, labs, and conference rooms on the Logan campus.
