Overview

The Department of Aviation Technology (AVTE) in the S.J. and Jessie E Quinney College of Agriculture and Natural Resources is seeking a Program Coordinator. This role will coordinate program initiatives at USU Eastern in collaboration with resources at the Main/Logan campus.  This is a full-time, 12-month, benefited position that will require aviation program-related travel (3-4 times per month – predominantly day trips).

Responsibilities

  • Leads and coordinates events, such as aviation outreach and community events (including summer youth camps), open houses, fundraisers, tours, banquets, and exhibits.
  • Oversees communication strategies in collaboration with AVTE/College marketing team: which may include development of promotional materials, newsletters, social media content and public outreach to specifically emphasize aviation programs available at statewide locations.
  • Responds to requests for information from the media and public; distributes promotional materials, including flyers, and brochures; and prepares and presents information to internal and external sources regarding the Aviation Technology programs at USU.
  • Collects and analyzes AVTE data to improve student and program outcomes with specific emphasis on USU Eastern and Statewide campuses.
  • Coordinate student workshops/information sessions. Assists with program records, handbooks and AVTE procedural documentation.
  • May train and direct student, employees, and volunteers.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification:

  • Associate degree plus two years of related work experience; or a bachelor’s degree in a related field; or an equivalent combination of education plus experience is required.
