Utah State University Extension in Carbon County is seeking a summer 2022 technician to assist in applied research on sheep grazing effects on riparian noxious weeds. Activities will include vegetation and forage quantification, tracking grazing behavior, and caring for sheep during research activities. Duties will include both field and office work. Field work may include short-term overnight primitive camping but it will be minimal. Travel to field site (50 miles) will typically be provided but a mileage reimbursement for personal vehicle use will be given when rarely required.
Summit County 4-H is seeking individuals to facilitate 4-H agriculture-based programing during Summer 20201. The seasonal employee will lead and assist in a wide variety of informal-education programs for youth (8-18 years old) around Summit County, UT.
The Utah State University Extension 4-H in Salt Lake County is accepting applications for 35 youth internships. Interns will be placed into positions that reflect their choice of job interest from their initial application and interview. Possible internships may include: after school programs, community centers, libraries, recreation departments, medical facilities, gardening and other related work places.
Each employer will have different job responsibilities and job policies the interns will need to follow. To ensure a successful internship the interns will attend four mandatory pre-internship training sessions.
To be pre-approved you must meet the following qualifications:
- They must be refugee or some other qualifying immigrant.
- The qualify for TANF funding (this is federal family assistance money)
- Focus on teens Age 16-19

Part time diagnostician to support the diagnostic helpline (email, phone, walk-in) horticulture consultations.
The Afterschool Enrichment Coordinator will oversee the daily enrichment activities associated with the afterschool program, will work closely with the academic coordinator and school administrators to ensure that enrichment activities closely correspond to academic activities. This position will be at multiple locations.
