The Data Analytics and Information Systems (DAIS) Department in the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University invites applications for a tenure track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level to support and strengthen our programs in web/mobile application development, software development, cloud computing, and enterprise systems. This academic-year (nine-month) faculty position will support the development and maintenance of programs of excellence in both teaching and research, with an anticipated start date of August 1, 2024. The Family Resident Assistant (RA) is a full-time student single parent or spouse team (of which at least one spouse is a full-time student) who lives among, and interacts with, their peers in FHC. The RA is a member of the Residence Life Staff and actively participates in the development of a comprehensive Residence Life program. The RA is appointed for a specific contract year. Individuals should not apply for or accept a position if they cannot commit to the entire or remaining contract year (RAs should only give notice to leave at the end of each semester or summer). Reappointment is contingent upon successful job performance, requisite academic progress, favorable supervisory review by applicable professional staff, and the on-going needs of the overall Housing system.
The RA position, due to its live-in nature, requires willingness to be called into service at any time of the day or night in order to meet residents' needs as they arise. The RA will function as a peer resource, mentor, and advisor to residents. Therefore, availability, consistency, and interpersonal skills are of the utmost importance.

This position will work on a number of projects directed by an Extension faculty in Salt Lake County with the primary purpose of providing educational opportunities for youth, parents, and families designed to build resilience and prevent problem behaviors in youth.
The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Utah State University invites applications from outstanding candidates for a tenure-track position in organic chemistry at the Assistant Professor level estimated to start in August of 2024. The successful applicant will develop an externally funded research program in organic chemistry; preference will be given to applicants with research interests that complement existing research in the department. Applicants must have earned a PhD in Chemistry or a closely related discipline; postdoctoral experience in experimental organic chemistry is preferred. The position requires the development of a nationally recognized, externally funded, research program and teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The teaching responsibilities will include organic courses at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.

The San Juan County Office of Utah State University Extension is seeking a qualified individual to fill an After-school Teacher Position. As an After-school Teacher, you will be required to assist the After-school Coordinator and Educators who are providing 4-H After-school clubs for students at Blanding Elementary School. The after-school Teacher will need to be available Monday-Thursday 3:00 pm-6:00 pm for the entire 22-23 academic school year. The position will pay $25 per hour for up to 10hrs per week. This position can also be continued into the Blanding Elementary Summer School program for up to 16 hours per week.
The Department of Nutrition, Dietetics and Food Sciences at Utah State University is seeking to fill a full-time (9 month) tenure-track Assistant Professor position in our Food Science program. The role for this position is 50% research, 45% teaching, and 5% Service. Applicants must have a PhD in Food Science or related area. Candidates will be expected to establish an extramurally funded and nationally recognized program of research that complements or expands existing departmental research in the area of Food Science. The department has established research programs in the areas of dairy, meat, and confectionery science. We encourage applicants who are from, or have connections to, one of the population subgroups mentioned above to apply. The number of hours worked each week and work schedule will vary based on project phase and applicant availability but is estimated to average to around four hours per week across the year. This position involves rare plant surveys and monitoring across the State of Utah to assist with prioritization of conservation plans and actions.
