The Program Assistant – Center Administration (Program Assistant SR) performs program-related and/or administrative functions in support of the center’s administrators, faculty, academic, and/or research staff, programs, and events. This position reports directly to the Administrative Director and may supervise student employees.

The Library Building Supervisor is the primary liaison with USU Facilities for the Merrill-Cazier Library building and is a member of the Access Services unit. This position also manages the circulating technology and coordinates mail delivery. Additional responsibilities include performing general assignments and tasks associated with the daily operation of the Merrill-Cazier Library Help & Check-Out Desk and Course Reserve Desk, and assisting the student workforce. The Building Supervisor is an exempt position (Library Manager) reporting to the Head of Access Services. The hours of the position are Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 4:00pm. The Building Supervisor is also occasionally available outside regular hours to respond to building issues as necessary.

Event Services is a growing department whose primary function is to assure the events hosted by Utah State University, "Exceed Expectations". This position (Program Coordinator I) is responsible for the success of conference and event registration managed by this position both on the campuses of Utah State University, as well as off campus locations.

The College of Science Business Services Team seeks a Business Manager II to manage and coordinate the business operations of the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry and the Department of Mathematics and Statistics. Incumbent will provide and oversee all financial activities such as budget preparation and control, contract and grant accounting, service center accounting, personnel administration, transaction review and control, and financial reporting.   The Business Manager II reports to the College of Science Financial Officer and will work closely with the head, faculty and staff in the Department of Chemistry and the Department of Mathematics and Statistics. The Part-Time Custodial Service Representative plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of campus buildings. This position involves a variety of duties including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming dormitories, classrooms, hallways, stairs, restrooms, and office spaces. Responsibilities also include emptying trash containers, cleaning carpets, walls, and windows to ensure a pristine environment. Additionally, the Service Representative will promptly report any maintenance issues such as lighting, doors, or plumbing systems to their supervisor. Furthermore, they are responsible for clearing snow and debris from sidewalks and building entrances to ensure safe access for all occupants. Flexibility to perform other assigned duties is essential in this role.

Paleontology Lab & Collections Manager:   The Prehistoric Museum at Utah State University Eastern invites applications for a permanent, full-time Paleontology Lab and Collections Manager (Curator, Associate). This is a newly created position that will primarily serve as chief fossil preparator and paleontological collections manager. This position integrates all aspects of paleontology, from field, to lab, to collections, in order to provide optimal, long-term care for paleontological specimens and data. As lab manager, the position will supervise preparation projects focused on both recently collected specimens and other fossils during the museum’s 62-year history. As collections manager, the position will serve as caretaker for a growing collection that includes nine holotypes, with more to be named in the coming years. The lab and collections manager will also assist with and lead fieldwork across eastern and southern Utah in some of the richest fossil-bearing rocks on the planet. In all of these areas, the paleontology lab and collections manager is considered an essential part of a collaborative research team, and their contributions described below will be acknowledged with co-authorship in peer-reviewed publications where appropriate.   The Prehistoric Museum is located in Price, UT – the gateway to Utah’s dinosaur country. The museum elucidates the history of life across eastern Utah and the Colorado Plateau, with a focus on its paleontological record and pre-Columbian human history, and educates the public about that history. The Prehistoric Museum currently houses over 8,000 paleontological specimens from across the region and beyond, with a majority of those specimens collected from within two hours of museum itself. The Prehistoric Museum has an active field program across the region, with a particular emphasis on the Mesozoic. Current field, lab, and collections projects include the Triassic Chinle Formation, Lower Cretaceous Cedar Mountain Formation, the marine Upper Cretaceous including the Mancos and Tropic shales, and the terrestrial Upper Cretaceous including the Neslen and North Horn formations, with plans to expand to other rock units in the near future.

The Department of Nutrition, Dietetics and Food Sciences (NDFS) has an opening for the professional position of Dairy Production Laboratory Food Scientist (Program Coordinator SR). The Gary Haight Richardson Dairy Products Laboratory (DPL) is located in the C. Anthon Ernstrom Nutrition and Food Science building on the Logan campus of Utah State University. The DPL Food Scientist will oversee research and compliance within the DPL, teach labs and short courses and provide trainings for students. The Gary H. Richardson DPL provides learning and discovery opportunities that enhance undergraduate and graduate education in the NDFS degree programs. DPL plays a critical role in strengthening dairy science research program in the NDFS department and the Western Dairy Center. In addition, the DPL facilitates engagement with the dairy food industry, and reflects the department’s commitment to supporting a safe and wholesome food supply through science and innovation. The School of Teacher Education and Leadership (TEAL) at Utah State University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to assist a research team studying elementary students’ development of computational and spatial thinking. The Department of Technology, Design, and Technical Education (TDTE) at Utah State University (USU) seeks candidates for a full-time, academic-year (9-month), non-tenure track term lecturer position that offers benefits.
