The Davis Agriculture Heritage Center (DAHC) is a new facility that opened on October 24, 2023 and is located on the Utah State University Botanical Center Property in Kaysville. The DAHC consists of an indoor and outdoor arena and a stall barn with 74 covered stalls. Events that will take place at the DAHC include but not limited to barrel racing, roping, horse shows, general equine events, livestock shows, dog shows, and agriculture related events will take place year round. The Arena Assistant will report directly to the Davis Agriculture Heritage Center Manager. The position will require working evenings and being on call every other weekend. Two weeks each month the hours will be Monday-Friday from 5:00 to 9:00 pm and Saturday and Sunday for opening the facility in the morning and locking up in the evening so approximately 4 hours per weekend. The other two weeks of the month the hours will be Tuesday-Thursday from 5:00 to 9:00 pm. This position gets paid twice per month and there will be an average of 40 hours per pay period or 80 hours per month. Scheduling may be subject to change based on events taking place at the arenas.

The benefit provides a discount of up to $30 per month toward internet service for eligible households and up to $75 per month for households on qualifying Tribal lands. Eligible households can also receive a one-time discount of up to $100 to purchase a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet from participating providers if they contribute more than $10 and less than $50 toward the purchase price.   This position serves Carbon and Emery Counties. This position is funded by a temporary two-year contract. The ideal candidate will take part in a variety of activities related to ACP outreach and education.
