The Emma Eccles Jones College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences is seeking a Compliance Officer SR as the principal leader for healthcare compliance, privacy, and security. The position is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing a comprehensive healthcare compliance program that promotes adherence to HIPAA, HITECH, applicable federal and state privacy laws, and University policies governing the protection of health information. The position is housed in the college’s Sorenson Legacy Foundation Center for Clinical Excellence, which serves as a clinical training site for graduate students.

The TRIO Student Support Services Learning Specialist will convey a passion for learning by providing specific learning strategies and fostering academic support programs to enrich USU Blanding first-generation, low-income students’ academic performances. Incumbents will teach skills in individual and group sessions with the goal of improving study skills, learning strategies, academic efficiency, time management, and confidence in the following general fields of knowledge: reading, English, math, science and statistics. USU Extension currently offers the Utah Diabetes Cook-Along in English throughout the state and virtually. There is a need for similar programming in other languages to meet the needs of the communities we serve. One of these languages is Somali. We are currently looking for someone who is fluent in both English and Somali to assist our research team in conducting initial research to understand the needs, to help modify the curriculum for this new audience, and eventually to help teach the curriculum in communities along the Wasatch front and in Logan.
This position is eligible for hybrid work within the state of Utah.

Working under the direction of the Testing Supervisor, Testing Assistants will help in many aspects of the Professional Testing Center, for undergraduate and graduate admissions testing, professional school admissions testing, and many licensure and certification exams. Facilitators are an important part of the staff at USU-Tooele because they aid Interactive Video Broadcast (Connect) instructors and assist in the use of Zoom technology to ensure a beneficial learning environment.
