Utah State University hosts the Utah Marriage Commission. See H.B. 55 from the 2021 General Session of the Utah Legislature. The Marriage Commission Manager (Program Coordinator III) will oversee programmatic, administrative, and operational activities of funded programs, donor sponsored events, revenue generating efforts, and related projects. The Marriage Commission Manager will provide leadership for new initiatives, expand existing programs, and develop public-private partnerships. The Marriage Commission Manager will also facilitate promotional and fundraising activities and coordinate the related efforts of Commission leadership, committees, staff, board members, donors, volunteers, and other supporters. The Marriage Commission Manager will plan and coordinate with USU faculty/staff and partnering organizations to optimize the reach and impact of the Utah Marriage Commission. This may include supervising staff, students, and volunteers. The position is intended to be ¾ time (.75 FTE). Part-time may be considered. The USU Eastern Prehistoric Museum is looking to hire a Gift Shop/Front Desk Clerk, who will assist with admissions, memberships, and all things pertaining to the museum’s gift shop.
Utah Conservation Corps (UCC) operates three 12-week field seasons over the course of the year. The spring season is dedicated to development of Crew Leaders through formal training and project work, as well as preparing for our large summer and fall field seasons.
During our summer and fall field seasons Utah Conservation Corps mobilizes multiple 5-person field crews out of three field offices (Logan, Moab, and Cedar City) to address a diversity of conservation efforts on Utah public lands with federal, state, indigenous, and non-profit partners . Crew project work may include habitat restoration, re-vegetation, fence building, trail construction & maintenance, invasive plant removal, forest fuels reductions & other fire mitigation work, habitat surveying, native seed collection, and more.
Service performed by Utah Conservation Corps crews address program goals related to conservation of public lands and member development. UCC crews and project work may focus on specialized objectives. Recent examples of this specialized work include a bike crew (crew members use bikes as their only mode of transportation to/from project sites), and accessibility surveying in the National Forest sites (providing opportunities for people of all abilities to serve and recreate).
The UCC Field Coordinator is responsible for providing direct leadership and support to UCC field crews and working as part of the UCC field staff team to provide seasonal trainings and logistical coordination. The Field Coordinator is an integral member of UCC field operations, ensuring that UCC crews are adequately trained and prepared to perform high quality conservation service in a positive, safe, and productive environment.
The Field Coordinator is expected to provide leadership in support of UCC's overarching and crew-specific programmatic goals. Support of field crews and operations may include but will not be limited to: working with crews at their project sites, being in the field for multiple days in a row, assisting in training crew leaders and members, performing project site visits, managing logistics, maintaining tools and equipment, working in the field office, and assisting with crew member recruitment efforts.
This position involves frequent travel, camping, irregular hours, and a varying weekly schedule. The Field Coordinator must have strong leadership and communication skills, flexibility, capacity for self-direction, a passion for conservation work, and a desire to provide mentorship to emerging conservation leaders. The Field Coordinator works under the supervision of the Regional Coordinator.

USU Blanding Campus is accepting applications for counselors/tutors for UB’s Summer Programs. The 5-week comprehensive program offers assistance to first-generation and/or low-income students in academic subjects such as English, math, science, foreign language, and study skills. Counselors are required to live in the residence hall and will mentor and tutor participants on a daily basis. Room and board will be provided along with a salary of $3000 for the five weeks. 4-H Mentoring is a community mentoring program that has been serving youth and families in Utah County since 2001. The program serves youth between the ages of 9-15 that have been identified as individuals who could benefit from one-on-one mentoring services. The program works with at-risk youth who often come from low-income or disadvantaged neighborhoods. This position will work primarily with youth and families in Lehi, American Fork, and Pleasant Grove.
The position requires travel to our Orem office, local schools, 4-H events in Utah County, and the homes of 4-H members in the north Utah County area. A reliable form of transportation is necessary.
The hours for this position are flexible. It will be approximately 15 to 20 hours a week. Multiple events are planned and implemented by site coordinators on a monthly basis, typically on weeknights or Saturdays. Please see more about our program at https://extension.usu.edu/utah/4h/mentoring/

Empties trash containers and cleans carpets, walls, and windows. Reports to supervisor concerning needed repairs to lighting, doors, and plumbing systems. Cleans snow and debris from sidewalks and building entrances. Other duties as assigned.
