The Office of Events is a growing department whose primary function is to assure the events hosted by Utah State University, "Exceed Expectations". The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Registration Coordinator in all aspects of event and conference registration.
Hours: Monday-Friday, between 8:00 am-5:00 pm. May include some evening and weekend hours as needed with prior notification. Weekly hours will be between 10 to 28 hours.
The work schedule will be determined on a weekly basis.
The Venue Operations Team Leader II (Team Leader Facilities II) works under the direction of a Coordinator to organize the cleaning/maintenance activities in areas across campus that are impacted by events and special projects. This position will require a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays. The employee will be assisting crews in buildings across campus as dictated by events. This includes but is not limited to event preparation, event-support, and returning the venue to pre-event condition. They also assist other Facilities Maintenance crews with events and projects including the project crew, moving crew, window crew, etc.
Schedule Monday-Friday 7am to 3:30pm. Must be willing to adjust schedule to cover events on nights and weekends.
USU Extension in Wayne County is seeking a creative and positive person to work as a Program Assistant to Extension Faculty. Hours will be Monday-Friday 8 am to 5 pm in the USU Extension office in Wayne County. This is a full-time benefited position. Applicants should be able to work well independently and in a team. Some evening and weekend work may be necessary. This position is administratively responsible to the Wayne County Home and Community Faculty.

The Utah State University Music Department invites application for a Temporary Assistant Professor/Instructor of Music and Orchestra Director.
The USU Symphony orchestra currently presents four concerts per year and rehearses three times weekly. The orchestra averages 50 players, primarily undergraduate music majors.
This is a full-time, academic-year (9-month) temporary position to begin August 1, 2024 and continue through the 2024-2025 academic year. Review of applications begins May 8, 2024 and continues until filled.
The Central Energy Plant (CEP) employees maintain, repair, and install Energy plant equipment and production Systems. They manage and monitor Facilities alarms from across campus while keeping the steam pressure and chilled water systems supplying campus at peak performance. USU Blanding Campus is accepting applications for candidates to serve as counselors/tutors to participants in the 2024 College Launch Summer Program. This 4-week comprehensive programs offer assistance to first-generation and/or low-income students in academic subjects such as Math, science, STEM, and study skills. Counselors are required to live in the residence hall and will mentor and tutor participants on a daily basis. Room and board will be provided along with a salary of $3,500 for the four weeks. College Launch works with high school seniors.
Summer employment begins May 25, 2024 and continues through June 23, 2024.
The Aviation Technology program at USU includes Bachelor of Science degrees in Professional Pilot and Maintenance Management. The Aviation Technology program prides itself in applying cutting-edge technology with exceptional training to produce the best quality of pilots and technicians the industry needs. Professional Pilot graduates receive all Federal Aviation Administration certifications and are trained to be commercial pilots. Students are trained in Diamond Aircraft with glass cockpits and the latest instrument and navigation technology. USU's Regional Jet Flight Simulator gives students hands-on experience in flying a commercial airliner. USU also offers a nine-week private pilot summer program for those who seek to jump-start their career goal before the semester starts. Students in the Aviation Technology – Maintenance Management major will complete the courses required for the FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) licenses. They will also have coursework in aviation law, human factors in aviation safety, and management. Management and communications courses are incorporated into the program to provide essential business skills. Employment opportunities for graduates in Maintenance Management include positions with major airlines as maintenance technicians, maintenance supervisors, fixed-base operators, maintenance directors, repair station managers, FAA inspectors, aircraft and component manufacturers, and aerospace manufacturers. Degree completion in this program prepares graduates for all FAA required licensing evaluations.
Tutor positions are open to currently enrolled students and community members who would like to serve in a tutoring capacity while positively representing the institution. A tutor will provide individual and small group tutoring to students through a walk-in tutoring center or by appointment.
A tutor will help students who enroll in mathematics or life and physical science courses to understand the course material and learning objectives. A tutor will assist them in concept development, problem solving, and study skills. A tutor should have the essential characteristics of professionalism, skill-sets in subject area, and ability to devote adequate time to the position.
USU Blanding is seeking applicants for a Mental Health Community Outreach Coordinator (Program Coordinator I) position. The incumbent will work in coordination with the mental health counselor to support individuals as they develop positive community connections as part of their recovery process. As a Business Assistant I, you will work with the Business Manager and play a vital role in assisting with the financial aspects of the department as well as assisting with policy inquiries.
USU Extension, Iron County has a position available immediately or as soon as a suitable candidate is found. The 4-H and Youth Programs Coordinator I is a full time, 40 hours per week position, eligible for full benefits. The primary role of the 4-H Program Coordinator is to support the Extension Youth Program effort in three areas: volunteer recruitment and training, youth participant recruitment/retention and seeking donations (financial and in kind) to grow and expand the local program.
