Building and maintaining an effective working relationship with the Dean is key to success and growth as a Director/Sr. Director of Development.   The Director/Sr. Director of Development reviews research reports and information from the Prospect Analytics and Research team on assigned donors and prospects. She/he plans trips and contacts donors to set appointments for visits. She/he builds relationships for the Huntsman School of Business with donors by presenting the case for philanthropic support and engagement opportunities. Under the direction of the of Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS), the Director of Mental Wellness for Athletics will provide counseling and psychological services to the student-athlete community, and will have direct oversight of the mental wellness and mental performance aspect of the USU Athletics Department. This position will be a member of CAPS, but will be primarily housed within USU Athletics. They will maintain dual reporting lines to CAPS Director (primary supervisor) and the Associate Athletics Director – Director of Sports Medicine. This is a 12-month position on the USU-Logan campus. The Director of Mental Wellness for Athletics will work with approximately 400 student athletes and 21 athletic teams. They must be able to work within a team dynamic and view the student athlete from a holistic perspective. This position will be a valuable addition to, and member of, the Utah State University Athletics Student Athlete Wellness Team (SAWT). The SAWT is a multidisciplinary team that is intricately involved in the health and wellbeing of the student athletes.   The Director of Mental Wellness for Athletics will be responsible for coordinating mental wellness programs and support for the USU Athletics Department. They will provide services such as, but not limited to, brief individual therapy, crisis interventions, consultations with coaches and other Athletics staff, mental health assessments, mental health education to student athletes and sports programs, drug and alcohol counseling, eating disorder and disordered eating evaluations, ADD/ADHD evaluations, and other services that fall under the scope of student athlete mental wellness. It is a county that encompasses much of the east-west Uinta mountain range. The county's highest point is also the highest peak in Utah, which is King’s Peak at 13,528 feet. Roosevelt is the largest city in the county. The county seat is in Duchesne City, with other communities of Altamont, Myton, Neola and Tabiona. Agriculture, oil and gas production and tourism are the main industries for Duchesne County The position requires knowledge of livestock production (especially beef cattle), production agriculture (alfalfa and grass hay), and 4-H agriculture programs (Jr. Livestock, 4-H Horse). This pilot project is designed to help schools partner with parents to enhance student resilience and increase academic outcomes by providing educational opportunities for students and their families.   Utah State University is seeking eight qualified individuals who can coordinate and oversee project activities at their respective schools to serve in the role of part-time Project CREST School Site Coordinator. In this role, individuals will spend approximately 4 hours a week across the school year facilitating a team of school representatives (e.g., administrators, counselors, social workers, teachers) and overseeing the development of a group of engaged parents in each of the participating schools. The purpose of these teams is to plan, raise awareness for, and assist with the delivery of research-based educational workshops and evidence-based prevention programs designed to address risk and protective factors in students and their families.   This position is part-time and non-benefited. Leads will also assist in integrating equipment and system information into the Facilities Preventative Maintenance system.   Involves and coordinates maintenance shops in design reviews and site-walks for major construction activities on campus projects from completion of bidding and award of construction contracts to final acceptance. Inspects and reviews all construction and remodeling projects for maintainability during all phases of planning and construction to ensure that projects conform to the needs and requirements of the university. Supports project management through the 1-year warranty period by investigating and identifying any project related issues, while also helping to determine how it should be resolved.   The successful candidate must be self-motivated, detail oriented, process driven and be able to communicate effectively inter-personally, through documentation and by email. Documentation and file management is key to managing time and workloads across multiple projects that are simultaneously in progress. Understanding of the interactions of multiple construction disciplines is essential, or have a proven record of curiosity, learning and understanding areas you are unfamiliar with.
