The Brigham City Region of USU is seeking a qualified Network Systems Specialist to oversee our dynamic distance education system and infrastructure. Under the general direction of the USU Eastern GEAR UP Director or GEAR UP Advisor: works one-on-one or in small groups with graduating high school seniors and families/guardians and first-year student GEAR UP (GU) students to provide mentoring and academic assistance. Addresses the needs of diverse learners; serves as a positive role model; and interacts with students, families/guardians, faculty/staff, and/or administration in a professional manner. Travels to and from high schools within Carbon and Emery counties to serve graduating high school students and prepare them for their first year of college. Attends staff meetings and annual training at the GEAR UP home office at Utah State University Eastern. Annual travel opportunities to a statewide, regional and/or national GEAR UP conference for professional development purposes may occur, if funding is available. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required for special events; such as National GEAR UP Week, National Senior College Signing Day, USU Eastern Leadership Summit, professional development opportunities, or to contact students and families/guardians.
Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP) is a federally-funded grant program whose goal is to increase college awareness for underrepresented students and their families/guardians, and to help students develop the skills and preparation necessary to complete high school and attend college.
Hiring is contingent on completion of a successful background check. This position falls under USU's Title IX "Responsible Employee" designation and is required to report any disclosures of sexual harassment or sexual violence to the USU Title IX Coordinator and/or appropriate school district/school authority. Furthermore, Utah law requires any public or private citizen to report child abuse or neglect to the nearest peace office, law enforcement agency, or office of the Division of Child and Family Services (DCFS).

USU Housing Maintenance Laborer is responsible for assisting in replacing hot water heaters, changing out furnace filters, light bulbs, smoke alarm batteries, turning over apartments, and some plumbing issues in residence halls.
The Youth Programs Assistant will help with the Swaner Preserve and EcoCenter’s youth education programs, including those detailed below. This person will focus on providing high quality, meaningful environmental education and STEM programs to youth ranging from toddlers to high school students. Each youth education program at the Swaner Preserve strives to spark curiosity about the natural world and foster a lifelong love of nature.
The Youth Programs Assistant must be personable, creative, flexible, team-oriented, and highly organized. They should have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and enjoy working with youth. A positive attitude is a must, as well as a willingness to work in an outdoor setting in variable weather conditions. This position requires some evening and weekend work, and reports to the Education Director at the Swaner Preserve and EcoCenter.

The Garfield County Office of Utah State University Extension is seeking a qualified individual who would be responsible for providing enriching afterschool clubs for students. Instructor positions are available at all three Garfield County Sites (Bryce Valley, Escalante, and Panguitch). We need educators to teach a variety of subject matters; such as, but not limited to Sewing, STEM, Cake Decorating, Music, Art, Etc. Instructor may teach four or more days a week depending on program needs and instructor availability. Instructors need to be available Monday-Thursday 3:00pm-6:00pm (days they are teaching) and 12:00pm-1:30pm on Friday.
Pay is based on qualifications - positions start at $8.00/hour up to $12/hour.

The full-time Prevention Specialist will help implement and increase the impact of sexual misconduct (primarily, sexual assault, relationship violence, and sex-based stalking) prevention efforts at the USU Blanding campus. This position will strengthen USU’s sexual misconduct prevention efforts using a public health approach to promote the health and safety of USU Blanding campus students and employees.
The full-time Prevention Specialist position funding is only guaranteed for one year through the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Program. This position reports directly to the USU Blanding Campus’s Director of Students, with a dotted reporting line to the USU Office of Equity’s Senior Prevention Specialist.

The Associate Athletic Director for Marketing and Fan Engagement is responsible for the organization, development and execution of marketing, promotional and fan engagement activities for the Utah State University Athletics Department.
This position provides clerical and program support to the Department of Nursing as well as oversees the USU Moab testing center. Nursing duties include the support of instructors, students, applicants to the nursing program, and administrative and essential functions. Testing duties include the scheduling and proctoring of exams, providing support to instructors, and coordinating with the Director of Students to schedule proctors. The Digital Projects Manager provides leadership and coordination for the planning and creation of digital collections and exhibits at Utah State University Libraries and works with a dynamic team including full-time staff and part-time student employees. The Career Fair & Event Coordinator manages, supervises and oversees all event planning which includes eight career fairs, panels, and other events. These events attract over 4,000 students and alumni and 600+ employers. With the support of the executive director this position may set policies, pricing, and strategies to ensure successful events are hosted by the Career Design Center. Incumbents in this role will also contribute to the marketing of the center and events via the employer relations group and team of staff and students.
