Occasional evening and weekend work may be required for special events; such as National GEAR UP Week, National Senior College Signing Day, USU Eastern Leadership Summit, professional development opportunities, or to contact students and families/guardians.   Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP) is a federally-funded grant program whose goal is to increase college awareness for underrepresented students and their families/guardians, and to help students develop the skills and preparation necessary to complete high school and attend college.   Hiring is contingent on completion of a successful background check.
